The Story of Me

Hello, Beautiful!

I am Lauren.

This is about as far as I get when I am writing anything about myself. I'm not usually very good at "about me" narrations and the outcome usually sounds like I'm trying too hard to talk myself up or I'm utterly and completely boring. So that being said.... I'll just tell it like it is.
Plain and simple but undeniably, well, Me!

My story started the moment I traded in my single life as a college student who slept in until noon and jumped out of airplanes every chance I could get to marry the sweetest man on the planet.

He joined the Army an eye blink later and two eye blinks after that we dove into the abyss known as "Parenthood" and thus our adventure began.

My blog was born more out of necessity than really any desire I had to write. I needed it. To write that is. Because to be frank, it's hard.
Motherhood.
Marriage.
Responsibility.
Being the Matriarch of a family.
Becoming the heart of the home.
It sure is a beautiful journey but a challenging one at that.

Together, my husband and I have made two blue eyed little boys who make everyday in this house interesting. I often refer to our home's almost constant state of crazy as "happy chaos".
Because that is exactly what it is!
It is where joy and insanity meet.
Right in the middle of my living room =)

Life wouldn't be complete without or spunky dog, two sassy chickens, and our cozy little home in the  country.

I am passionate about many things
My faith.
Marriage.
Motherhood.
Real Food.
And Cooking It.
Breastfeeding.
Birth.
Attachment Parenting.
Gardening.
Homeschooling.
DIY Projects.
Everyday Life.
And more often than not, those are the topics is that fill up the posts on this blog.

I'm living out the greatest adventure of my life. Growing into the person I was called to be and becoming the woman I have always wanted to become. It is not always pretty but that is why I write. So at the end of a particularly hard day I can take a step back and fill the page with the reality of my story and the genuine love in my heart. And there I can almost always see the blessings in my life.
And then, I am thankful.
